CDC: Children and the Flu…Three Facts

2009 September 15

If you are concerned about your children’s health and the recent outbreak of media coverage about the flu, read the press release in the following post closely.

Several key pieces of walk-around-knowledge (WAC) information first…

Of the children in flu-related deaths, the majority of them already had at least one major health condition, primarily neurodevelopmental disorders.  This is why the press release (next post below) recommends chiropractic as an important flu prevention strategy.

Also, over half of the deceased children checked had a co-infection with a bacteria as well.  Antibiotic resistance is a major influence in many of these infections.  So even though antibiotics are given for bacterial infections, antibiotic use is highly related to flu conditions.

Thirdly, over half of the children’s records indicated that they had received a 2008-2009 influenza vaccination.  So many of these deceased children had in fact actually received a vaccination.

Having a strong healthy immune system is vitally important.  And what you do and how you live has a tremendous influence on the health of your immune system.  Next week, I will release Part One of  a three-part series on what the research shows to promote healthy immune function, in eat, move and think format, with summaries and action steps for you to put into place.

Hey this is good but what does one do if one has a relative one of which has autism, epilepsy and muscular problems and the other severe asthma. Both have been lined up as the first to receive it. They (the DAd)does not believe in chiropracty and they do not live nearby. Yuk. They are my little nephews
